Privacy Policy
The Burlington Hood Cleaning Privacy Policy is the record of how this website handles the personal information you give it. Only the quote form asks for anything about you. This page names each field it collects, follows a submission from your browser to the CRM the operating crew works from, states how long it stays there, and explains how to see, correct or delete it by calling 289-797-3190. It is written to meet PIPEDA, the federal privacy law for Canadian businesses.

What the quote form asks for
Five fields you fill in. Your name, a phone number, an email address, the business name, and a message about the kitchen.
Two values the page adds. The web address of the page the form sat on, and a form id (hero-quote-home or hero-quote-contact) showing whether it came through the homepage or the contact page.
One hidden anti-spam field. A submission with that field filled is discarded before it goes anywhere.
Never requested. Card numbers, banking details, government identification or health information.
The route a submission takes
Step one: a Netlify serverless function. Your browser posts the form to a small function running under this domain on Netlify. It checks the required fields, drops spam, and forwards the clean submission server-to-server. It keeps no copy.
Step two: the GoHighLevel CRM. The submission becomes a contact record in the CRM the operating crew works from, and the person who writes quotes is notified.
Why the record exists. To write your quote within 24 hours and, if you accept it, to schedule the visit. Contact from the crew serves one of those two purposes.
No sale of data. Contact records are not sold, rented, traded or handed to an advertising network.
Where the data sits, and whose law applies. Netlify and GoHighLevel may store data outside Canada, which PIPEDA permits under a protective contract. This policy is governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.
How long a record stays, and how to change it
Retention. An enquiry that does not become a job is held while the quote is open. After a completed job, the certificate and photographs are safety records a kitchen may need to show the Burlington Fire Department, Halton Region Public Health or an insurer, so they are kept with the contact details needed to reissue them.
Seeing and correcting it. PIPEDA gives you the right to see what is held about you. Call 289-797-3190, give the business name you used, and a copy is provided within the time PIPEDA allows. No email address is published on this site, so requests go by phone.
Deleting it. Contact details are deleted on request. Certificates and photographs for completed work are kept as safety records.
If a concern is not settled. Anyone in Canada may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Cookies, chat, server logs and links
Cookies. The site itself sets no cookies.
The live chat widget. The chat button is provided by GoHighLevel and loads only after you click or tap it the first time. Once open, it may store a conversation token in your browser, and messages reach the same CRM as the form.
Server logs. Netlify hosts the site and a Bunny CDN mirror serves copies of it. Both keep standard access logs (IP address, browser, page, time) for security. Logs are not joined to form records.
Links, minors and changes. A link off this domain leads to a site with its own practices. The site is written for people who run commercial kitchens, not minors. When handling changes, this page and its date change. The terms of service cover the conditions a job runs under.
Privacy: frequently asked questions
Does the form send anything before submit is pressed?
Nothing leaves the page until you press submit.
Who can read a quote form submission?
The operating crew that writes the quote. Netlify and GoHighLevel process it under contract. No other company receives it.
Will a text message follow the form?
A text is possible, because it is the quickest way to confirm an overnight window. Reply stop and the messages end.
Is the chat widget tracking visitors who never open it?
The widget does not load until it is clicked or tapped, so a visitor who ignores it sends nothing to GoHighLevel.
How is a deletion request made when the site has no email address?
By phone. Call 289-797-3190, name the business you entered, and the contact record is removed. Certificates and photographs for completed visits stay on file.
